What readers write back

“The description said ‘spine faded, pages clean.’ It arrived exactly so — and I have never trusted a listing more.”

M. H. · Member since 2019

“I came in for one book and left with a reading list for the winter. The staff pick shelf is dangerously good.”

R. A. · Member since 2022

“My parcel arrived wrapped in paper, tied with string, with a note about the previous owner. It felt like a gift, not a delivery.”

S. K. · Member since 2024

Questions

Asked at the counter

Yes — wrapped in paper, packed in board, tracked. Postage is calculated at checkout and never padded.

Every flaw we can see is listed before the price: faded spines, foxing, a previous owner's inscription. If we missed something, return it within 30 days.

Bring them in on a Saturday morning. We buy what we can sell with a clear conscience and price the rest fairly for the trade shelf.

The Sunday letter
